The Oaxaca Learning Center relies on the revenue generated by the Bed and Breakfast and the generosity of private donations to run its programs. If you wish to support our work with the less advantaged youth in Oaxaca, we have a number of options in which you can do so. You can make a tax deductible donation to The Oaxaca Learning Center fund via The Oaxaca Lending Library Foundation. Make checks payable to:

Please write on the check that it is for The Oaxaca Learning Center. Also, please Email Gary regarding the date and amount of your check – this is very important.

When Bob (pictured left) read about Wilberth’s plight, he volunteered to help.
“How could you not do this,” he said, “when you realize what he has already accomplished?”
Wilberth and Bob Haas, a retired principal and school teacher from San Francisco, met for the first time on a recent afternoon at the Oaxaca Lending Library, where Bob volunteers every Monday morning.
In addition to paying for books and other necessary materials, Bob will be providing Wilberth with a monthly stipend of $2,880 pesos to meet his expenses.
“Now it’s up to me,” Wilberth said as he stood up to shake hands with his sponsor and new friend, Bob Haas.
