About the Event

Join Friends of The Oaxaca Learning Center (FOLC) for a warm and meaningful Day of the Dead gathering. This year, our community altar holds special significance as we gather to celebrate and honor the life and legacy of Gary Titus, whose dedicated friendship and leadership deeply touched our organization and students.

What to Expect

• Community Altar Building: We will supply all traditional altar decorations, marigold flowers (cempasúchil), candles, and traditional ornaments.
• Traditional Refreshments: Enjoy hot chocolate and traditional pan de muerto as we gather and share stories.
• Meaningful Impact: All proceeds directly benefit the educational programs and student scholarships at TOLC.

What to Bring

Photos of Loved Ones: Attendees—especially friends of Gary, active donors, volunteers, and community members—are warmly invited to bring photographs of their departed loved ones to place on the community altar.
